Kamika Shaw

Kamika’s practice focuses on representing individuals and corporate entities in white collar matters including internal investigations, federal prosecution of individuals, regulatory proceedings, and securities litigation.

Kamika has significant experience engaging in witness preparation, drafting motions in limine, reviewing discovery, conducting legal research and participating in strategy deliberations.  She was a member of  a defense team in a federal  criminal trial, and has also worked on civil matters including multi-district litigation, securities class actions and investor lawsuits involving hedge funds.

Before joining LSW, Kamika served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Vernon S. Broderick in federal trial court in Manhattan.  Prior to her clerkship, Kamika was an associate at Paul Weiss in New York City, where she  worked on matters involving allegations of criminal and regulatory violations by individuals and corporations.

  • Member of trial team in SDNY representing hedge fund founder accused of wire fraud.
  • Represented a technology company in connection with investor suit alleging misrepresentations.
  • Represented a hedge fund in connection with an investor suit alleging misleading statements  made during course of sale of a pharmaceutical company.
