LSW partner Gabi Friedman and Dr. Philipp Gehrmann, partner at Berlin white collar boutique Krause & Kollegen, presented a joint talk on parallel criminal investigations in the United States and Germany to German lawyers and law students at Bucerius Law School in Hamburg, Germany. They discussed the complex legal issues that arise in cross-border criminal investigations from both a U.S. and a German perspective.  In an active give-and-take with audience members, they explored how the the differences in legal culture and formal and informal criminal procedure in the United States and Germany influence white collar defense strategies.
